Call Me Maybe Parody: Some of my favs!

OK, we all know and love (or, at least you should) the song "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen.
And we all also have seen the best home video of all time.

Within the past few days I've seen some awesome parodies, that were making fun of paradies... and who doesn't love that. This song is taking over the world. I don't know why but seriously(!) EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. it comes on my day is instantly better. So, I thought I would share a few of these LOL vids with you and hopefully it brightens your day too!

Lets be honest...
This one is alright.
But, it's really just all about the hot baseball players.
I mean serioulsy, are these guys real?
They go to Harvard.
They play baseball (my weakness).
They are smokin' hot.
AND they listen to Call Me Maybe.
I want one.

Parody of a parody... classic.

Most of you know about my love affair with Australia, but for those that don't, I lived there for about 6 months and it was pretty much the greatest time of my life. So, this video is just too perfect! The lingo, the SUPER THICK accents, the Australian humor. I can't deal.
I don't know if anyone else will appreciate this one as much as I do though, so if you don't laugh, don't worry. It's not you, it's me.
I had my roommate watch it last night and she merely chuckled as I was hysterically cracking up.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Before you know it a month's gone by and you realize you haven't cried...

.... anyone know which song that is? Clue: It's one of my favorites on the radio.

Well guys, it's been over a month since I returned home from Australia. While I can't explain enough how awesome it's been to be home with the ones I love... I can't help but feel part of me is missing as well. Now that the hustle, bustle, and excitement of being home has worn off I realize how much happiness I obtained in Australia. I will never be able to put into words my emotions or the pure joy I feel when I look back on my time spent there. The people, my friends, are definitely what I miss the most. Seeing their photos and hearing their stories brings both happiness and sadness; as I love hearing about there lives and their adventures, I can't help but feel I'm missing out and missing them more than words can describe. Isn't there a machine somewhere that can morph my two worlds into one? They make those, right?

So what do you do when you're sad and missing someone far away? Skype of course :)

some of my favorites: (center, left, right)
Chelsea, Liv, Lyss, and Sammy :)
anyone else notice the extremely odd shape of my cheek?
naughty Nico hates photos....
but we love and miss him all the same.

naughty Nico wanting me to watch some weird cat youtube clip.
I clearly am confused.
Zoe got to come play! This is us, at our finest.
Mitch had to join the fun and come say hi as well!
This was totally worth staying up past 1am for. I can't tell you guys how much I needed to see these faces! I miss you all dearly and am counting down the days until you all come visit me next summer. All my love :)

Have a sensational weekend friends!

A lock of love

Before I left from Australia, some of my closest friends there surprised me with the most amazing going-away present. Just a mere 24 hours before I left the country, they took me to Mt. Keira (one of the main attractions in Wollongong) where they presented me with a lock, engraved with my name and a message. This is a tradition of the mountain where a person(s) locks their lock around the railing of the mountain and it stays there for as long as the owner would like it too! There were so many locks of all different shapes, sizes, ages, and messages. It was amazing to see how many different people had done this tradition and interesting to think about where their lives are at now. The girls gave it to me in hopes of one day coming back to it and showing my family and children how I once lived in this amazing place. They also said that,

"Now, apart of you will truly always remain in Australia."
Needless to say, I balled like a baby.
I threw one keys off the mountain (as apart of the tradition) and kept the other key to wear which I pretty much do every day. I wish I could go into more details, but this was such an intimate moment for me, I feel that pictures will just have to do the rest of the talking.

It was the most amazing gift I could've asked for.

This has gotta be the good life

So, for those of you who don't know... I'm obsessed with slideshows. I know, I know. How high school can we get here? I understand. But, I still love them and enjoy putting them together as well. So, instead of multiple upon multiple blog posts filled with photos, I decided to just do this instead :) And because, I just really wanted to.

Also, I know this video will most likely only be interesting for people that know me and/or are actually in the video clip itself. Maybe not even then haha.
It's long, it's random, but it's me..
And it shows just s touch of how much fun I had in the land down under.

-To all those in the video..... I LOVE YOU.

Guess who's back!!!

Well friends,
I'M HOME!!!!!

I'm officially back in the states and man does it feel weird! Weird in a good way, of course. I just can't believe 6 months have come and gone. Wasn't I just sitting in this very room (well you guys can't see me, but I was) writing about how nervous I was and vlogging how incredibly nerve racking it was that I was leaving so soon. And now here I am; home from one of the best, if not the best, adventures of my life! It was such a great experience and I miss my friends that I made so incredibly much. But, I know that every good thing must come to an end at some point in time. I'm just so thankful for the time I was given.

Now, I must say I'm really excited to get back into the groove of blogging again :)
A big THANK YOU to all of you guys that have stayed with me and encouraged me so much throughout these last 6 months. You guys are all sensational and it mean so much to me! I probably will still be chatting about the land down under for awhile. I mean, it is my second home and all! However, I can't wait to see what this next chapter of my life has to offer. Join me for it, won't you?!

why i have haven't been blogging lately... plus a quote. of course.

Hey everyone,

Most of you have noticed my lack of blogging the past.. errr 5 months; the last couple months especially. I made some really amazing connections in this little blogger world and I feel as though I have abandoned those connections. For that, I truly apologize. I have not forgotten you though and I promise, once I get back to the states with constant internet use, summer break, and there's not a "departure date" loaming ahead of me, I fully intend to rekindle those connections! I have been so busy living up every second of my time in Ausrtalia, but I promise you guys are still on my mind.

2 weeks left in Australia guys... TWO WEEKS. I can't believe it. Where have the last 5 months gone?

this is my WTH face...

Quote of the day:
"A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely." -Pam Brown
